My friend invited me to watch Michael Jackson’s “This is It” yesterday. And I’m glad I came. =)
I don’t know Michael Jackson. I haven’t been his follower. I’m not even in this planet yet when the King of Pop reigns the music scene. I just know the name. And his timeless songs that continuously capture the heart of every generation. Plus the last few malicious and bizarre scandals that made me doubt his identity.
TORPE – is a Pinoy adjective that describes someone who is too shy to pursue amorous desires.

I just finished reading a Pinoy e-book titled “TORPE”… and it really captivated me.
The Skinny: A college guy, Christopher or Toph, earnestly talks about his hesitations in expressing his feelings for the girl he likes and his journey in finding his one true love.
Yey! I am so happy today… hmm, just because of some simple and unanticipated reasons. n_n
1) On my way to work this morning (at the Fort), nakasabay ko sa bus si Arjay, a dear highschool friend and classmate. Actually, natanaw ko lang pala siya. He’s sitting on the end side and I’m standing in the middle aisle of the bus. He didn’t see me. And medyo alanganin din naman na sumigaw ako para tawagin siya. So nang bumaba na ako, I waved my hand outside until he looks my way. Yahoo! We were able to give each other a smile. And then, that’s it. What a surprising way to start the morning. ^^
A colleague shared me this reflective excerpt from “The Courage: 12 Acts for Becoming Fearless at Work and in Life”… and I’m sharing it here, too.

“We do not see the world as it is; we see it as we are.”
- Humberto Maturana, Chilean philosopher and biologist
In my early twenties, I spent a couple months backpacking around Thailand. The trip included a weeklong hike through the hills in the northern part of the country bordering Burma and Laos, near the infamous Golden Triangle, during which I stayed in small villages, spending time with the local people and gaining a wonderful insight into their lives. One day I noticed that the elephants they used for carrying lumber and transporting people through the jungle always stayed close by. When I inquired as to why they didn’t just wander off and disappear into the jungle, I was given an explanation that I found most intriguing.
Last night, Sunday, was Pinoy Big Brother Double Up’s Grand Opening. Of course, the show wouldn’t be complete without the three gorgeous hosts, Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez and Bianca Gonzalez.
Toni and Mariel both have bonggang gowns and accessories; Bianca on the other hand, is very simple and yet very fabulous. When I saw her, I can’t help but say aloud, “ang ganda ni Bianca…” Yes, napa-smile talaga ako nang makita ko siya. She looks like a doll. Whoooohu!
And so I was reminded of how I love this girl…
I am not an avid fan of Bianca, but I’ve always like her character and personality. She’s smart and she’s really a good host. She is particularly helpful in glossing over some awkward portions of her shows and she connects really well with the guests. Bianca hosts like she knows everything and when she’s not, she doesn’t play too much. Toni and Mariel are nice hosts too but I feel that they seldom relate to their interviewees. Parang dinadaan lang nila lagi sa energy and lakas ng boses. I hate it when the hosts barely know their topics / subjects and ask stupid questions or give irrelevant comments just to move through.
Recently, I discovered na mayroon palang personal blog si Super Bianca. Omo! I got to read some of her posts and ayayay!! It feels like she’s a better version of me (well, of course, way way better than me). I mean, we have a lot of similarities like – fondness for traveling and writing, the desire to read more books and inspire the youth, her point of views about trivial stuffs, her words and expressions… parang barkada ko lang siya… and parang ako talaga. Hehe. I love her.
I really adore this humble girl. Keep inspiring people Super Bianx. You’re a blessing. ^^
I am a proud Filipina. I eat a lot but I don’t get fat. I like pasta especially lasagna. I love Korean fashion – hip, vibrant, futuristic and yet conservative. It is my frustration to play the guitar so I learned the piano. I love to travel and stroll around nature’s wonders. I wish to go to Jeju Island, Great Wall of China, Venice, London, Paris and Barcelona. I like to read, write and quote words. I think even the tiniest of children’s laughter can heal every pain and fill every corner of the heart. I like sweets – be it chocolate, candy or you. :)
