After a month, and still can’t get enough of the Eheads concert, I listed down some funny and memorable moments from the concert that I remember;
- Anne Curtis, as one of the MYX VJs who introduced the band, told everyone that her favorite Eheads song is “Tindahan ni Aling NENE”?
- Ely’s response to the crowd chanting for a group hug.. “Kayo muna.”
- And Marcus teasing the crowd, “Sinong bruha?” when he thought he heard bruha instead of group hug. :)
- Ely on singing Magasin, “Medyo pangit ka pa ‘non, HANGGANG ngayon!!”
- Ely on the intro of Maling Akala, “Name that tune”.
- Ely on singing Maling Akala, “Maliit na butas lumalaki, konting kuskos, AYOS!
- Ang sablay na intro ng “Poorman’s Grave”.. kakatuwa. Hehe.
- Marcus on singing Huwag Mo Nang Itanong, “Chika ang inabot ko..”, “Parang lotto, ang hirap manalo..” and “Di ko sasabihin sayo!” It’s a reggae version of “Huwag mo nang Itanong” in a coño accent. This made the crowd roar in laughter.
- “Slomo + Alkohol + Insomia” from Raymund.
- Raymund on the intro of Insomya, “Kanta para kay Sonia”.
- The second set was an acoustic theme where the band members are sitting in like a sala, as if it’s an intimate small gig. Ely said, “How do you like our new house?” He also told the crowd to write down their song requests in a ¼ sheet of paper, length wise and pass to the waiter. Cool. Parang nasa bahay lang.
- Ely on singing Pare Ko, “Sabi niya, ayaw niya munang magka-syota, dehins ako naniwala. Yun pala, magaling lang siya sa kama, akala ko ay dehins pa…” Cute.
- Ely on singing Kailan, a guy from the crowd shouted ‘I love you Ely!’, and he replied back “I love you, too Pare.” without missing a tune.
- Marcus’ Hello Kitty Pink guitar!
- Ely on asking the crowd to “Sing!” and to “Jam!” Tapos kami kanta naman at jammin’ syempre.
- Ely on singing Superproxy, we all thought that he’d need the teleprompter to supply him the lyrics of the rap section (which was Francis M’s part), but Ely knows all the lines by heart. Kabog.
- When Ely shouted, “Ito na ang Huling El Bimbo!”, an emotional crowd sings with the band because that’s probably the last time that we are going to see Marcus strum his rhythm guitars, Buddy do the bass, Raymund bang his drums and Ely sing his heart out for “The Eraserheads.”
- The symbolic burning of the Sticker Happy piano that marks the closure of the Eraserheads.
- The semi-group hug of Ely, Raymund, Marcus and Buddy.
- Ely’s acknowledgment of the band, “We are the Eraserheads!” nakakamiss.
- Ely’s shoes and jacket thrown to the crowd. Muntik pa pati medyas niya. Hahaha!
- Ely on singing Ligaya, “Gagawin ko ang lahat pati ang MISIS mo”.
- Ely asking the crowd to jump, “Talon!!!“. Talon kami syempre and imagine thousands of people jumping by MOA’s open grounds, eh diba tubig ung ilalim nun, lumilindol talaga, literal!!
- “Ah, tapos na ba?” Ely got carried away while singing, he jumped from 1st stanza to 3rd stanza of Sembreak and was surprised when the song ended.
- Toyang’s intro, “This, this next song… (Raymund) is all about love (Buddy) and I wrote it all (Marcus) by my bloody self (Ely).” – hati-hati sila sa intro.
- Tim Yap singing “Pen, pen, pen” instead of “Pero, pero, pero, pero malinis to..”
- Jazz Nicolas’ shirt says “EXTRA” with an inverted E.
- Ang mga piyok ni Ely. It’s something na supposed to be nakakahiya pero hindi. Very classic. Astig!
- Ang mga minsang sablay na palo ni Raymund sa drums. Nakakatuwa. Lagi din siyang nakangiti at nakatawa.
- The unexpected “Three for the Road” set where people rushed back of the venue after lights were all out.
Unlike the usual Eraserheads band known to the fans, The Eraserheads definitely gave a different performance that night, savoring every moment of being a “Head” one last time.

Oh yeah lahat yan memorable!! Weee! Sayang di na mauulit pero that’s the best of the Eheads!
ay… ka-miss talaga
isang concert pa!
